Monica Flowers is an artist living and working in Los Angeles. Her work explores ideas of pattern and fragmentation through drawing, collage, and textiles. She is endlessly curious about micro and macro patterns found in nature and the relationship between nature, humans and the manmade world. Flowers tries to work with recycled materials as much as possible. Currently she creates playful mixed media collages with discarded papers. Her work was recently projected onto a building for a project called Projecting Possibilities by Helms Bakery District in Culver City, California. Flowers also exhibited her work last year at Studio 203 in Los Angeles as part of a collaborative project, in a show called The Sketchbooks. Flowers graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2013, and has shown her work in Michigan, Indiana, and Los Angeles, California.

I am also available for commissions. If you are interested in inquiring about one, please contact me via email.
